So, StarShip Troopers in on TV

My god, this has to be the cheesiest, yet most awesome movie I've ever seen. The dialogue is horrid, the acting is... sub-par and the script is all kinds of fucked.

But I'll be damned I haven't enjoyed this movie.

What are your thoughts on this movie?

This movie is based on the book which first put forward the idea of armies consisting of small, specialised squads, and is the only science fiction book on the reading list at Quantico Marine Officer school.


But yes, this is the first movie I saw boobies in ad was like woah, rewind. I have always loved this movie, unfortunately it succumbed to the matrix treatment, and has awful sequels.

I saw the novel for sale a while ago, but didn't really bother to look at it. Didn't really seem like something that'd interest me, but after playing Fallout 3, I think I might want to try find it.

Righto. Is the book worth reading? Might make for some good time-wasting over the holidays.

If you want something sci fi, I'd reccomend Starship Troopers or I Am Legend, that's quite good.

there's a sequel....dont bother. and a third movie.... dont bother.

In the sequel the gun barrels flash with an LED light to "symbolise" a shooting gun.


Starship Troopers may be awesome to the max, but the sequel and third film are just crap!

Shame. Maybe it has something to do with the budget being cut from $100 million, down to $7.

Why they chose to make the sequels is beyond me, the thing that got me with the book was that it was written back in the '50s or '60s, really good book too, must track down a copy one of these days
